Advantages of using the Pearl River water as heat source for heat pump compared with air-source heat pump in Guangzhou
Liu Jinping and Xu Dingxue
Based on water temperature in Guangzhou reaches of the Pearl River and Guangzhou outdoor dry bulb temperature during 2007, analyses the difference of evaporation temperature between water-source heat pump using the Pearl River water and air-source heat pump. The results show that during January to April and October to December, as the outdoor air temperature is lower, the evaporation temperature of water-source heat pump is 5 ℃ higher than that of air-source heat pump for 92.78% of the time, and 10 ℃ higher than that of airsource heat pump for 60.37% of the time. Compared with air temperature, the Pearl River water temperature is more stable and smaller fluctuation. In addition, the Pearl River water-source heat pump will not frost. The performance of water-source heat pump using the Pearl River water is much better than that of air-source heat pump.
